OUR FIRST “LUNCH WITH A FEW” took place today, hosted by The Chosen Few founder, Harriette Rose Katz in her stunning Manhattan apartment.
In attendance at the intimate luncheon were New York event industry leaders and CF Inductees Marc Jason of Total Entertainment, Mark Rose of Mark Rose Flowers & Events, Peter Markowitz of Frost Productions, Carla Ruben of Creative Edge Parties, Marianne Bennett of Element Music, Photographer Michael Jurick, Stephen Frost of Stamford Tent & Event Services and Michael Waiser of Michael Scott Events.
War stories, industry trends, and creative ideas were exchanged over a beautifully dressed table of delicious food prepared by Chef Julian Alonzo of Neuman’s Kitchen – Events & Catering. The incredible, restaurant-quality menu created by Chef Alonzo included: jumbo lump crab cakes with stone ground mustard sauce, lemon roasted chicken roulade with pan juices (shown above), matouf cousous, eggplant caponata, a trio of homemade sorbets, and assorted petits fours. Photographer Michael Jurick was quick to share his thoughts on the lunch,
“Thank you so much for an absolutely wonderful lunch! The food was sublime!”
Knowing how rare it is to get such an esteemed group of event professionals together at one time, Harriette posed questions to The Chosen Few that included:
- Outrageous, fun, unique tales of the trade
- What’ s in and What’s out
- Most memorable events you’ve produced
- Past trends that you were happy/sad to see go
As event designer Mark Rose shared,
“That was such an amazing experience! Thank you for including me! I felt so special being there. Thank you!”
We are grateful for The Chosen Few’s attendance at this first of many luncheons to come, and we look forward to sharing with you the interviews, opinions, and expertise shared around the table as soon as possible!
